Are you choosing rightly?

Are you choosing rightly?

There is no 100% answer to that question. So what I am about to give you is a general rule of thumb.

There are in general two parts to your thinking. There is a lower consciousness and a higher consciousness. Your lower consciousness can be right, but it is often tainted by this and that, emotions, background blueprinting, cultural mores, etc. that consciousness should only be followed with caution.

The higher consciousness is almost always correct. This is the part of your thinking that should be relied on if possible, because it is connected to the spiritual realm. This is not to say that it cannot be wrong, but it is vastly more reliable. More on this later.

choices

So the question is how can I know that my thinking about some choice is good advise?

First consider how the mental advise comes into your thinking. Let us say you are thinking about something to do, say, or what ever or you may be walking down the road and a thought comes to you to do, say, or whatever something. Either way there are only two ways that that can come into your thinking. Either your internal voice will say, “I” or “you”, first person or second.

Consider this illustration. Your boss in front of others is unjustly fussing at you. You think, “I need to stand up for myself.” You are getting advise from your lower consciousness, because the internal voice packaged the advise in an “I” pronoun declaration. That is ego thinking.

On the other hand, when the boss fusses, you think, “You should stand up for yourself.” This is advise from your higher consciousness, because it is packaged in a “you” pronoun declaration.

Your car is giving you a problem, something that can be fixed. As you are driving, the thought comes, “You need to get this car fixed.” That is a message from the higher consciousness and generally expected to be good advise.

As you drive into the dealership lot you see all the pretty pristine new cars. The internal voice pops up, “I need to trade in this problem car, and buy a new one.” This is a voice from the lower consciousness. More caution is called for with this mental advise.

In this context drive not to the sales department but to the service department. That is the better advise.

This happened to me and my car once. Knowing the difference between the I-you made it an easy choice to make. And I was better for that choice.

Many years ago I knew a guy who knew a woman who was getting a divorce. He assumed that she would be venerable for an affair. He said, “I need to ask her out for drinks.”

That was the lower consciousness, and he thought hard on that choice, because he had not heard the “you”. Then a voice came, “You had better forget it.” He listened to his higher consciousness.

She had an affair with another man. Because of that the other man was drawn into a messy divorce, depositions, court, lawyers fees, public humiliation, private detective pictures were made public, etc. that affair was expensive in more ways than one.

The better advice of the higher consciousness was, “You had better forget it.” The would-be consort’s lower consciousness had been tainted with emotion.

Say you are thinking of online dating. You think, “I should maybe meet this man in person.” That may be o.k. or not. It was the lower consciousness, and it may be right or wrong.

Then as you discuss the possibility of meeting, that person suggests that you meet in a private place. Poof. You think, “He sounds o.k., but you should not do this.” Notice upon further information the shift to “you” here. That is the better advise, “You should not do this.”

Be aware to listen to the natural pronouns in your thoughts and know with more expectation of accuracy the good advice.

A word of caution here is required. Now that you know the I-you thinking, your “I” ego may want to win the day. The ego may substitute a “you” for the “I”. At first it is “I”, then it is “you”. A true “you” advice just pops up on its on. “You” is recognized after the advise is given. You do not think to say it.
